High on Mount Washington
Mount Washington, the Northeast's highest peak, rises to a 6,288-foot summit, and much of its severest weather comes in winter. Around it, the White Mountain National Forest offers clear lakes, streams and trails from easy strolls to hard climbs. Did you climb it, drive it or just admire it from below? What have the mountains taught you about patience and respect? Write down the trips that stuck with you, and who shared them with you.
