Only you can see your answers while you live.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Your Las Vegas, in your own words

A railroad town at the start

Las Vegas began as a railroad town in 1905, when lots were sold at a two-day auction, and its water made it a natural stop for trains crossing the desert. From those beginnings grew a city that keeps reinventing itself. Your life may have had a few reinventions too. When did you start over, and what did you learn? Let the people close to you know about the turning points, and how you found your footing each time.

Fremont Street and beyond

In 1946, part of Fremont Street was named Glitter Gulch, and since 1995 a canopy above it has put on a light and sound show. Maybe you remember the old signs, a night out with friends or a shift that ran past midnight. Plenty of people here work while others play. What was your job like, and who made the long hours better? Your stories from both sides of the lights are worth keeping.

Red rock and quiet mornings

About seventeen miles west of the Strip, Red Rock Canyon became Nevada's first National Conservation Area. It is a place to hike, climb or simply sit and watch the light move across the rocks. Where do you go in Las Vegas when you want some peace? What do you think about when you get there? Your quiet thoughts matter as much as the big moments, and they show the people after you who you really are.

How your record comes together

Gently, in your own time.

  1. A question to start

Each one is written to bring back a real moment, not to test you.

  2. Your answer, dated

Everything you write is kept as you wrote it, with the day you wrote it.

  3. Your people, chosen

You name who receives it and when it can be read, within our waiting period.

Simple, and safe

  • Private by design

Only you can see your answers. Nothing is shared while you live.

  • You stay the author

No AI writes in your record. It holds what you said, and nothing else.

  • A waiting period

At least 6 months pass after you are gone before anyone receives it.

  • Change anything, anytime

Add, edit or delete what you have written, and update who receives it.

After you

Your people can still find your words

Instead of searching boxes and old messages, the people you choose can ask a question and see what you actually said about it, with the date you said it.

  • Labelled answers

Each answer is marked Recorded, Related or Unknown.

  • No imitation

There is no voice and no avatar, only your text.

  • Their own pace

They begin when they are ready, and can stop at any time.
