From the mountains to the marsh, your Georgia story is yours to tell.
Georgia runs from the mountains where the Appalachian Trail ends to quiet barrier islands on the coast. Somewhere in between is your Georgia, and nobody can describe it quite like you.

A question for you
Who makes the best dish at your table when there is something to celebrate?
In Georgia, some of the best stories come out after the dishes are cleared and nobody wants to leave, and ToldForward gives you a way to keep those conversations, arguments and laughter included. Your words sit safely private while you live, then pass to the people you have picked, so they can recognize you in every line.
Only you can see your answers while you live.

Georgia
Your Georgia, in your own words
Where the long trail ends
The Appalachian Trail runs more than 2,190 miles between Maine and Georgia, so its southern end lies in the Georgia mountains. You do not need to hike it all to have a mountain story. Maybe you drove up for the fall color, or found a waterfall on a hot summer day. Tell about the trips that stayed with you, who came along, and what you talked about on the long ride home.
Swamp and island
The Okefenokee Swamp, the headwaters of the Suwannee and St. Marys Rivers, is home to an estimated 15,000 alligators. On the coast, Cumberland Island, Georgia's largest and southernmost barrier island, protects beaches, marshes and maritime forest. What wild corner of Georgia do you know best? Describe the sounds, the light and the people who were with you there. Was it a quiet paddle, a boat ride with friends or a walk on the sand at low tide?
Around the table
Some of the best stories get told over a long meal, after the dishes are cleared and nobody wants to leave yet. Who sits at your table? What gets served when there is something to celebrate, and who makes it best? Write down the recipes, the arguments and the laughter. One day the people you love will be glad to hear those conversations again in your own words, right down to who always asked for seconds.
Something to come back to
Not a recording. Your own words, ready to read
Your record is text you wrote yourself. The people you choose can read all of it, and with Archive Membership ask a guide to find the parts they are looking for.
Find a moment
Ask about a place, a year or a person, and see what you said.
Your record is private while you live: nothing in it is public or searchable.
You choose the people who will one day receive it, and you can change them at any time.
If you wish, a copy can one day go to a library or archive through the Historical Deposit.
One question a day is all it takes.
ToldForward asks you one friendly question each day, and you answer in your own words. It stays private while you live, and you choose who receives it one day.
